The Crew

In May of 2010, Tommaso and Eva bought a boat, dubbed it Magnolia and decided to make it their home. This blog is a window to their adventure featuring photos, thoughts, and stories about how this young couple fares with their untraditional living condition. Come back often!

Eva

Eva just graduated from UC Santa Cruz and, amongst the hectic and stressful last few months, looked forward to working and living in Magnolia as an exciting next step. She currently has little to no sailing experience but is facing the challenge with the courage and enthusiasm of a weathered sailor. Her artistic talent will be put to good use in making what used to be a stinky, run-down anchor-out, into a beautiful, warm home for her and her boy.

Tommaso

Tommaso grew up sailing in Italy and always dreamed of living on a boat. When he finally decided to leave his fantastic group house in D.C. to rejoin Eva in the Bay Area, this dream finally started to become reality. While he doesn’t currently know much (ehm.. nothing at all) about electronics, wood-working, and plumbing, he plans to do his best to make Magnolia be a comfortable, functional home.
